Weekends at The Z seem to start on Wednesdays...

Wednesday: hot buttered rum on the porch at the Z, headed to the Lounge for a drink then to hear some live music at Snackbar while enjoying oysters, delicious cocktails, and French press coffee.

Thursday: walked to Square books to meet Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of Jackie O and JFK, then enjoyed the sunset on the City Grocery balcony. The night ended with a concert at Larry's featuring Adrian Dickey and Charlie Mars...awesome show!

Friday: we played on the square all day, served guests wine and cheese then watched the homecoming parade! And of course we went to the Library to hear a little happy hour set by Jimbo Mathus and stayed late so we could dance all night to the Mustache band!

Saturday- early grove morning and watched the Rebels beat Auburn 20-41. Hotty Toddy!!!!!

Happy Fall :)

We had such a fun weekend here at The Z!! The rebels did amazing and everyone staying at The Z had a great time. We had guests from Lexington, KY and a couple all the way from Scotland!

A few improvements....

We have officially changed the double bed in the "Live" bedroom to a queen bed and we are sooo excited how the new custom bedspread turned out! It looks great in the room and the larger bed will certainly be more appealing to guests!!!

And we planted new flowers along the walkway in the front :)

I'm not rushing summertime, but......

I could not be more excited for the weather to cool down because that means Grove time is approaching and the crisp air will give us an excuse to utilize the outdoor oasis we have created.  The perfect fall evening would include family, friends, wine, and a fire in our back yard pit....

The chandelier would be lit for a little extra lighting as the sun sets, glasses would be full, smiles
would be on every face, dinner would be on the grill and s'mores would be roasting.....I get excited just thinking about it!!

And as always.....the Colonel would be there to supervise :)
