We'll always have Paris......

It is no secret...I LOVE to travel. A few years ago my family and I spent Christmas in Paris! We made so many memories and one that stands out in my mind in particular is the morning stops we made at the crepe stands to grab a quick breakfast before we headed out on our daily adventures!! They had all kinds- sweet and savory. This morning Britt and I decided to practice making homemade crepes with the William Sonoma pan we got for Christmas!! The first one we tried was with banana and nutella...it was delicious!! And then we decided to try a savory one--scrambled eggs, country ham, and a goat cheese/dijon homemade sauce. YUMMM!!!!! They were both fabulous....I guess it just depends if you like sweet or salty first thing in the morning!!
Au revoir.......Come see us SOON :)

Fresh Fruit

Sorry we havent posted in a while. We have been very busy but I have alot of pictures for you to help show what we have been up to!!

We have made everything from homemade pasta from scratch to an amazing caramel cake that Martha Foose refers to as her "Commitment Cake"....and yes, it was a good as I imagined it would be.

For our guests this morning we tried something new....we were pretty nervous because everyone says eggs benedict is super difficult but it turned out wonderful and the morning ended with three empty plates licked clean!!! They loved it :) We poached our own eggs (no microwave poacher in sight) and made our own hollandaise from scratch (we don't believe in sauces that come in packaged powder form-- NO WAY!!)

The cookies picutes are the most amazing cookies I have ever had!! They are homemade white chocolate cocoa cookies. SO YUMMY! I love the real cocoa that goes in them....much better than slice and bake for sure :) Our guests loved them so we made an extra batch to send home with them!
And p.s-- how adorable is our new cutting board?! Cutest rooster ever.....Williams-Sonoma is always the best!
